Human Reproduction Class 12
Human reproduction is the biological process by which new individuals are produced. It involves the fusion of the male and female gametes, resulting in the formation of a zygote, which develops into an embryo and ultimately a fetus. Human reproduction is essential for the continuation of the species and is a complex process that involves various organs, hormones, and physiological changes.
Human Reproduction Class 12
The male reproductive system includes the testes, epididymis, vas deferens, seminal vesicles, prostate gland, and urethra. The testes are responsible for the production of sperm, which are stored and matured in the epididymis. During sexual intercourse, the sperm are ejaculated through the vas deferens and mixed with seminal fluid produced by the seminal vesicles and prostate gland. The mixture of sperm and seminal fluid is called semen and is expelled through the urethra.
The female reproductive system includes the ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, and vagina. The ovaries produce and release eggs, which are then transported through the fallopian tubes to the uterus. If an egg is fertilized by sperm during this journey, it implants in the uterus and develops into a fetus.
