Resource And Development Class 10 Resource and development is a crucial topic in the study of geography. It is defined as the process of utilizing natural resources in an effective and sustainable manner to meet the needs of the present and future generations. The goal of resource and development is to promote economic development while minimizing the negative impact on the environment. There are three types of resources, namely natural resources, human-made resources, and human resources. Natural resources are those that are obtained from the environment and include water, air, soil, minerals, and forests. Human-made resources are those that are created by human beings, such as machines, buildings, and roads. Human resources refer to the people who provide labor and skills for the development of resources. The development of resources involves two processes: conservation and utilization. Conservation involves the preservation of resources and preventing their depletion. Utilization involves the management of resources in such a way that they can be used for economic development without causing long-term harm to the environment. There are various factors that affect the development of resources, such as climate, topography, soil, water, and technology. For example, areas with a favorable climate and soil are suitable for agriculture, while areas with mineral deposits are suitable for mining.
