When we want to classify the element the criteria that will use is physical properties, physical properties means their appearance. So them have shining surface which is called metallic lustre. Metals are hard of course except sodium or potassium.
Metals are very good conductors of heat and it are also good conductors of electricity and this property has been utilized by making electrical wires but also making intricate design of jewellery. So all the metals they can be drown into wires and property is called ductility. So metals are ductile.
Metals are malleable, when metal is struck it produces sound that is why all the bells property is called sonoras. So metals are sonoras
