Happy Streets gears up to make Children’s Day special

THANE: Happy Streets this Sunday is all set to have its own Children’s Day celebration. After receiving encouraging response from the followers the new edition is designed to match the mood of kids, who on the eve of Children’s Day will observe the occasion with pomp and show. Hordes of activities are lined up for November 13.

Happy Streets sponsor Vijay Group and Suraksha Realty has charted out elaborate plans to provide kids their dose as part of Children’s Day celebration. “Kids are welcome at Vijay Suraksha Art Zone to celebrate Children’s Day. Nehru caps and roses will get a special twist with origami at our art zone. Special games are also devised. All are welcome to become kids once again,” said a spokesperson.

“Happy Streets carnival has become our weekend hangout zone where we make new friends while engrossing with various indoor activities. This helps us to do away with modern gadgets and tempting us to embrace outdoor games for a healthy and happy life,” said Anirudh Singh, a 14-year-old student.

Fitness Challenge organised by The Gyym has been introduced for all age groups as a brand new activity. “We had good turnout last week with enthusiastic amateur marathoners. This shows the growing inclination of Thaneites towards fitness and good health,” said Sudarshan Singh, head of Joints-n-Motion.
Pugmarks will be pitching its makeshift tents to teach the visitors of camping and conducting adventure activities.

Happy Streets initiative is the way to reclaim the busy streets for non-vehicular activities for which citizens have been battling in urban pockets. Traffic police will have its arms display counter. The TMC, Thane Traffic department have taken the lead to bring Happy Streets to the lake city,
